Outdoor Sauna FAQ

How does a garden sauna work?
A garden sauna uses either a wood-fired or electric heating system to create a consistent, high-temperature environment designed for relaxation, recovery and wellbeing.
Does it need electricity?
The compact 160cm sauna requires a single phase 20amp power supply if you are buying the std BC45 heater, we cannot offer wood-fired on the compact 160, you need to go up to the 200cm as a minimum for that.
Is it difficult to use?
No — customers choose garden saunas because they offer a simple, relaxing way to enjoy a wellness experience at home.
Can it be used year-round?
Yes — many customers choose outdoor saunas for year-round use, especially during colder months as part of a relaxing garden setup.
How long does it take to heat up?
Most saunas reach their optimal temperature within 30–45 minutes, depending on the heating type and outdoor conditions.

The sauna comes as a flat-pack kit and requires assembly, instructions are provided however be advised this is a fairly technical build, we can build on site for you at extra cost (please enquire) and this is advisable where possible and budget allows. We can also supply fully built at extra cost, if delivered fully built it requires off-load by the customer and weighs upwards of 750kg.

Made from sustainable Spruce timber either standard or thermo-treated (selectable in options) with roof shingles, glass door, various styles of back & front windows, Alder seating, outside terrace and wood treatment this is truly a wonderful sauna. Simplistic in design and very affordable.

We offer a vast array of options, please enquire if you have a design in mind, we can offer various colours of timber, wood-fired heaters, much larger sauna and hot-tub combos, please enquire with our team.

    Heater Options for your LayzeeSauna

    We can only provide an electric heater for the 160cm sauna due to space constraints.

    Harvia Vega BC45 4.5kW Electric

    Harvia Vega is a modern and easy-to-use heater. The stainless steel outer shell of Vega is durable and creates a modern look for your sauna. The operating switches are placed ergonomically in the upper part, and thanks to the symmetric shape of the heater, the switches can be placed on either side. The heater can be mounted low on the sauna wall, ensuring that the lower benches also get plenty of steam.

    Timber Type/ Colour

    Thermowood or Spruce colours

    T numbers are for thermowood, numbers without a T are for Scandinavian spruce, WPC colours are dark grey, black or brown. Just let us know which colour you would like when you place your order.

    Front full panoramic window

    Have a lovely view out the front of your sauna? Then make the most of it by having a full front glass window.

    Full-moon rear panoramic window

    A beautiful full window if you have a great view from the rear of your sauna

    Half-moon rear window

    Want to keep some privacy but still have a good view out the back? Our half-moon panoramic window is for you.

    Full timber rear wall

    If you have nothing to see from the back of the sauna then save your money and go with a full timber rear wall.
