How does a wood-fired tub work?
A wood-fired tub uses a wood-burning heating system to warm the water naturally, giving you a more traditional outdoor spa experience without relying on a standard electric hot tub setup.
Does it need electricity?
One of the main attractions of a wood-fired tub is that it can avoid the complexity of a typical fully electric spa setup. This makes it especially appealing for customers looking for a simpler outdoor solution.
Is it difficult to use?
No — customers are often drawn to wood-fired tubs because they offer a simpler, more natural way to enjoy hot-tub living at home.
Can it be used year-round?
Yes — many customers choose wood-fired tubs for year-round outdoor enjoyment, especially as part of a relaxing garden or wellness setup.
Can I use chlorine or Bromine chemicals in the tub?
You can use any chemicals you like but you just need to upgrade the heater from standard 304 stainless to 316 stainless to prevent the chemicals from corroding the inside of the heater. We recommend for the sake of your skin to use a more natural active oxygen cleaner but for only £300 you can upgrade to the 316 stainless heater if you wish to use chemicals so totally up to you..
What does the 10-year warranty cover?
Our comprehensive warranty covers structural integrity and manufacturing defects for 10 years, giving you complete peace of mind with your investment.

The "René" 200cm 4-8 person Scandinavian Spruce, thermowood or Composite clad, wood fired hot tub with external heater, optional spa systems and other luxurious extras.

In stock for a 3 week delivery, shipping included, we deliver with a two-man team who can typically get tubs to location assuming route is fairly straightforward but we are only contracted to deliver to kerbside, we will try and get to location where we can but must stress that we need an easy route and a minimum width for delivery of 1.2m, we will also assemble tub for you if we can get it to location.

This model has an external heater, see our 6-8 person LayzeeTub with integrated heater if you prefer this arrangement.

These tubs are clad in Scandinavian spruce, thermowood or composite and are available with an array of extras, an ergonomic liner moulds to your body and the heater is external to the unit on this model providing more space inside for guests, this tub is designed for 4-8 people.

  • Fibreglass liner, various colours available with standard, Pearl or Granicoat variants, selectable in the options, please enquire if unsure
  • Polyurethane insulation around tub liner which keeps the tub at temperature for longer
  • Quality external 304-grade stainless steel heater for added durability with upgrades to 316 stainless available as an option, this upgrade is only required if you intend to use chlorine or bromine based chemicals in your tub. Standard heater is square, please advise if you would like round.
  • High-flow drain for quick emptying times after use
  • 304 grade stainless steel chimney with heat guard & rain cap made from durable stainless steel all as standard 
  • High-quality lid included, faux leather, insulated "fold-over" style included as standard 
  • Bespoke two-tier wide steps for safety and ease of access 
  • Beautiful stirring paddle for ensuring consistent heating all round the tub

    Tub Outer Type/ Colour

    Spruce, Thermowood or WPC colours

    Our wood-fired tubs are available in Scandinavian spruce, thermowood (oven baked spruce which is more durable but slightly more expensive) or wood plastic composite (WPC) which looks like timber but needs no maintenance, T colours are for thermowood, spruce colours are just numbered with no T.

    Liner Colours for your Layzee Living Tub

    Standard gelcoat and pearlescent colours.

    As well as our standard gelcoat grey, white and blue liners we also do those colours with a pearlescent effect, adds a touch of glam and sparkle to the finish.

    Granicoat, the ultimate in luxury colours

    Our Granicoat liners are the ultimate extra, an extra sparkly 3D effect range of liner colours, the above image shows the colours in water and out. All colours selectable in the options above.

    Spa Systems Available

    Air Bubbles, Hydro Massage & Integrated LED lighting - (Full spa effect)

    Selectable at the options at the top, it includes 8 or 10 nozzles (200cm or 220cm tub respectively) for the hydro massage system, plus 12 air bubble jets to make maximum water agitation and enjoyment, with LED lighting integrated into the back of the hydro nozzles for a beautiful lighting effect, this is the ultimate spa system combination.

    Hydro-Massage Only

    Similar to the three systems to the left but this is just the hydro massage system, it still has a separate dial that introduces air into the system, not the full system to the left but an awesome cost-save if you are on a budget, selectable in the options at the top.

    Your hot tubs heater

    The ingenious heater included with our LayzeeTubs has been designed to maximise heat and minimise thermal energy loss and is the heart of your LayzeeTub: Viewing glass in door, adjustable draught vent, removable ash tray to make emptying of ash a doddle our heaters have ease of use at their core. 304 and 316 stainless are the options, you only need to upgrade to 316 if you plan on using chlorine or bromine based chemicals to treat the water, if not then the standard 304 version is fabulous. The heater does not need any pumps or other electrical components but works by natural convection alone.

    Stirring paddle (Included as standard)

    Our LayzeeTubs get hot, this lovely timber paddle, a work of art on its own can be used to ensure the temperature is perfect before stepping inside, 3 or 4 stirs and it is the perfect mix of warmth and relaxation.

    Chimney Heat Guard (Included as standard)

    A log fire gets very hot so you can expect the chimney to get hotter still, the stainless steel guard ensures your family or visitors maximise enjoyment by preventing burns on little (and big) feet, arms or any other body parts.

    Drinks Shelf (Included as standard)

    How can I really finish off my hot tub I hear you say? With a beautiful wooden mini bar stand for your favourite tipple of course! Saving your drinks from being knocked over this is a wonderful addition to your tubbing experience, included for free of course. 

    Quick Drain Tap (Included as standard)

    Once finished relaxing you want to drain the top as quickly as possible, our high-flow drain lets the water out very quickly, if you want to direct it elsewhere simply attach a 25mm I/D hose and take it to wherever you need it. The drain is a specially made stainless steel elbow shaped pipe with a valve fitted on the side of the tub wall, this enables draining in a few minutes.

    Two-Tier Timber Steps (Included as standard)

    Available in whatever colour timber you decide to go with to match your tub, our two-tiered steps make it very easy to enter and exit the tub, extremely well-made and durable.
