The sauna comes as a flat-pack kit and requires assembly, instructions are provided however be advised this is a fairly technical build, we can build on site for you at extra cost (please enquire) and this is advisable where possible and budget allows. We can also supply fully built at extra cost, if delivered fully built it requires off-load by the customer and weighs upwards of 1000kg.
We offer this sauna without the terrace and/ or with or without the middle wall if you would like a larger bathing space, price is the same, just let us know.
Made from sustainable Spruce timber either standard or thermo-treated (selectable in options) with roof shingles, glass door, various styles of back & front windows, Alder seating, outside terrace and wood treatment this is truly a wonderful sauna. Simplistic in design and very affordable.

Every barrel sauna includes the complete structure with 42mm wall thickness, alder seating, bitumen shingles, bronze safety glass, and your choice of wood-fired or Harvia electric heater.
Our saunas arrive as flat-pack kits with detailed instructions for DIY assembly. However, we offer professional on-site assembly service for complete peace of mind.
Barrel saunas typically heat to 90°C in 30-60 minutes depending on size and heater type. The efficient barrel design retains heat beautifully.

Heater Options for your LayzeeSauna
Harvia M3 wood-fired heater
If you have a good supply of timber or are off-grid or just like the thought of sitting in a sauna accompanied by an amazing log fire, this one is for you.
Harvia Cilindro electric heater
Available as standard with the 6.8kW version which runs on a normal single phase supply, we can supply the larger 9kW unit at a small extra cost but bear in mind this does require a 3-phase supply.
Timber Type/ Colour
Surround colours
T numbers are for thermowood, numbers without a T are for Scandinavian spruce, WPC colours are dark grey, black or brown. Just let us know which colour you would like when you place your order.
FAQs
Yes of course! The stones are on top of both the M3 wood-fired heater and the electric version, pouring water on them creates steam, which increases the humidity and perceived heat, making the sauna experience more intense and comfortable. This process, known as"löyly", makes the heat feel warmer by transferring energy from the rocks through evaporation and reduces the body's ability to cool itself through sweat.
Scandinavian spruce is just that, an awesome timber for saunas which smells great, it is a great option and can be coloured any of the colours shown above, thermowood is oven baked spruce so is the same timber but has been heat treated for over 24 hours which dries the timber out, makes it more durable, removes all sap and looks awesome, especially in T1 colour which is natural timber colour but darkened by the baking process, if your budget allows, we recommend going with thermowood.
Yes! Whilst we show a great range of sizes and types on our website we cannot show every configuration that we can do, if you want a specific size, certain options or colourations just let us know and we will be happy to price your very own bespoke sauna.
This is totally your personal choice, if your sauna is going in a forest and you have an abundance of timber then a wood-fired sauna maybe best for you, no cost involved and sitting in a sauna with a wood fire going is one of the most stimulating things imaginable. If you want the convenience of just switching it on and off with a switch though then electric is the way to go, just flick it on, use and switch off, you can also add a wifi controlled option for added convenience and wow factor.
